Research With Attitude

Conduct your research with the attitude of a skeptic. As you examine website for clues that they’re trustworthy, ask these questions:

·         Who wrote the web page? If you can’t identify the individual or organization response for the information, don’t use it.

·         What are the author’s qualifications for writing on the subject?

·         Has the article passed through an editorial process designed to ensure quality and accuracy?

·         Whats is the website’s purpose? Look for motivies—like selling products or winning votes – that could result in biased or incomplete information.

·         Is the information accurate? Is it up-to-date?

·         Where did the author get this information?

Using the web Wisely

Thanks to the web, information is easy to find. However its also easy to post something online. Anyone can do it. You’ve probably used the internet to do research for a paper to help you decide which product to buy or to form an opinion about current events. Looking up information online is fast and convenient. But when you do online research its important to find sites you can trust. Many websites claim to have the fact but are full of errors. Others presents. How can you tell a reliable sources from an unreliable one? Also it os critical that you post online only that which is descent and appropriate never anything pornographic vulgar indecent out of taste untruthful or abscene. Post those things that will make a good name for you and your organization that will promote goodwill and be of benefits to the world.

"When an archer misses the mark, he turns and looks for the fault within himself. failure to the bulls-eye is never the fault of the target. to improve your aim, improve yourself.'

Reflection: this means that when you miss something its your fault cause your aiming and you need to put it in the target. and if its your fault if your miss for example when a soccer player is one on one with the goalie if the player misses it its his fault the not goalie cuz he block it so that means you need to improve it your self

Recite

At the end of each section, look up from the text and in your own words recite an answer to your question for that section. Then write down your answer. Be sure to provide example that support it.

Now repeat the question, read and recite steps for each section of the chapter. First ask a question for the enxt section.then read to find answer. Finally, recite the answer in your own words and jot it down. The written questions and answers can help you study in the future.

Review

After completing the chapter, review your notes. Identify the main points by looking for the most important idea in each section. Recite, or write a brief summery of the assignment.

Review your study notes every week to help you remember the information. When it’s time to prepare for your tests, you’ll find you’ve created an invaluable study guide.

Questions

As you Survey the text, ask a question for each section. Ask what why how when who and where questions as they relate to the content here’s how you can create questions:

·         Turn the title headings or subheadings into questions.

·         Rewrite the question at the end of the chapter or after each subheading in your own words.

Write down your questions. Questions help you pay attention, understand the text better and recall the information more easily later on.

Read

Read one section of the chapter at a time. Actively looking for an answer to your question for that section. Pay attention to bold and italicized text the authors use to make important points.

Be sure to review everything in the section including tables graphs and illustrations---these features can communicate an idea more powerfully than written text.
